Hamburg – A great place for great culture

This is the slogan of the joint stand of the Hamburg Tourism Board and its approx. 60 partners at the ITB in Berlin. Again, numerous companies will have the opportunity to contribute to the Hamburg stand in Berlin. For everyone not having the chance to attend the ITB in person, the NDR will be on the spot during all three trade visitor days. The “Hamburg Hotel management college” sends its students of the Catering Management department to the Hamburg stand to organize and provide gastronomic service. Extending over 630 m² on two levels, the exhibition stand is the main eye-catcher in the Northern Germany hall. The 35m² LED façade is the communicative point attraction (Hall 6.2, at stand 102/104).

Hamburg-program for ITB 2016

Every year, all Hamburg experts, partners, guests, media representatives as well as trade visitors and end customers get together during the ITB in Berlin. In this process, the Hamburg stand marks a central hub for trade show participants and visitors. They discuss the programme, exchange news and offers from the Hamburg Tourism Board, pave the way for cooperation, present new ideas, network, do interviews, and just have a chat. As a novelty there will be the 3D model of Elbphilharmonie Hamburg which is to open its doors in January 2017 in the Port of Hamburg. The 6th Hamburg Cruise Day on Friday with all information on Hamburg as a cruise location, the partnering shipping companies and the announcement of the “Cruise personality 2016” will be a highlight.

Travel industry is looking forward to the opening of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg

Hamburg has become one of the most popular destinations for city trips within Europe. The positive investment climate in tourism has yet to meet its match. The cultural landscape is blossoming and with the opening of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg on 11th and 12th January 2017, there is one more unique reason to travel to Hamburg. Due to the innovative and perceptible architecture as well as the overwhelming sounds at concerts the Elbphilharmonie will be the new number one tourist attraction in Hamburg. Ten months before the opening, First Mayor of Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg Olaf Scholz, Christoph Lieben-Seutter, Director of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Dr. Rolf Strittmatter, Managing Director of Hamburg Tourism gave a first insight into the spectacular concert hall and presented the milestones of the touristic development of Hamburg.
